I am looking for methods for repairing damaged edging on Chip Seal roads. (Caused by trash trucks, mail delivery, aging, etc). Our chip ranges from 1/2" to 1 1/4" thick and the sides are "beat out" sometimes into the drive lane. We have a limited budget. We tried cold/hot mix but it is labor intensive for our small crew and takes us off other projects. Any suggestions on methods, materials, equipment, or processes would be helpful.
What is the recommended amount and application rate of Magnesium Chloride used for DUST abatement for a second treatment applied about a year later?
I've been considering new designs for one of our spillways. It'll be installed on the downstream side of a bridge that storm water continues to erode toward the wings, abutments and center pier. Gabions were installed on the downstream side of the existing concrete wall, but over time they broke and the rocks were washed downstream. Does Colorado LTAP have any publications addressing water spillway design or suggested remediation?
I know that I need to keep brush and vegetation away from my signs to make them visible. How much visibility do I need in advance of a sign?
