Required Online Capabilities

While we understand each agency will have different equipment and technology access, we strive to make our courses as interactive as possible. Thus, each participant or group in this course is required to have access to a camera (turned on) and microphone.

Online Registration Fee

The registration fee for this online workshop is $20 per person for employees of government agencies and $25 per person for non-government agencies. Registration can be paid online. Please contact cltap@frontrange.edu for questions.

BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS

Word Skills:

Instructors

Carlson, Heather

Heather Carlson joined the National LTAP community as the director of Colorado’s LTAP program in 2021. Both her educational and professional experiences have been hyper-focused on continuous learning and information management.

Prior to joining CO LTAP at Front Range Community College, Heather developed and managed a professional organizing firm and spent over a decade in the financial services industry, much of which was as a program manager. A Colorado native, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Northern Colorado with a B.A. in Journalism and another in German Language. She holds both an M.B.A. and M.S. in International Business with a graduate certificate in entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado Denver.

Heather is an avid traveler, baker, carpool driver, snowboarder, equestrian and overall outdoor enthusiast. She lives in the metro area with her husband and two children and together we are always searching for their next adventure!

Jones, Kristi

Kristi Jones joined the National LTAP community as the Transportation Training Specialist of Colorado’s LTAP program in 2023.

Prior to joining CO LTAP, Kristi worked for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) where she started as a boots-on-the-ground highway maintenance member and then promoted to Lead Worker and eventually Junior Foreman. Kristi worked for a major Colorado construction equipment supplier and was a CDL-A nationwide OTR truck driver, moving into a local position hauling hay to various farms around the state and country.

Kristi, in her spare time, is a huge supporter of the bully breed, spends time with her two dogs, a Dachshund named Jägermeister and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Karma. She works as the treasurer for the local county historical museum and is also involved in photography and reading about local history.

Schwarz, Katrina

Katie Schwarz joined the National LTAP community as the Training Coordinator of Colorado’s LTAP Program in 2022. Katie’s educational and professional experiences have been primarily focused on human services and bettering the community.

Katie graduated from Colorado State University in December of 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. Since then, she has worked in case management in multiple different environments and hopes to pursue further higher education in the future.

As a Colorado native, Katie enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities including hiking, paddle boarding, skiing, volleyball, and rock climbing. Outside of this, Katie spends most of her time reading a multitude of books with her husband and her cat snuggled up in her lap!
