Winter Maintenance and Snow Plow Operations - Online

 Program Topics:

This Snow Plow Operator Training will focus on the safety and best practices when engaging in Winter Operations Maintenance Management.  The course will highlight safety data, vehicle disinfection due to COVID, Maintenance Patrol Plans, guidance on equipment and equipment attachments, in-cab technology and lighting systems, plow controls, basic driving techniques, maintenance after the storm, anti-icing, deicing, and pre-treatment of roads, dealing with traffic, etc.

Learning outcomes for this course:

• Outline basic skills, resources, and strategies required for Snow Plow Operation and Winter Operations Maintenance Management
• Highlight state and local requirements for Levels of Service
• Provide a refresher on equipment and technology systems operation that support Winter Operations

This RS I Elective course will be a virtual session in Google Hangouts Meet.  We will take breaks roughly every hour and have mechanisms in place to keep the group engaged throughout!  We are working with the CDOT Maintenance Training Academy to offer this course FREE to local agencies.  We will email the course login information after your registration has been confirmed.  

Registration Fee

The registration fee for this workshop is $50 per person for employees of government agencies and $75 per person for non-government agencies. Fee includes any class handouts and lunch. Registration can be paid online, or via invoice upon special request. Please contact cltap@frontrange.edu for questions.

Cancellation Policy

Please be considerate of those on the waiting list, cancel early if necessary. A full refund will be made if you cancel no later than 3 business days prior to the training day; otherwise, you will forfeit the registration fee.

Special Notes

In order to receive credit for this class, attendees must stay until the end when it is dismissed by the instructor and class certificates are awarded.
