Erosion & Sediment Control Closed
Natural erosion is always occurring, primarily on a geologic time scale, but when maintenance activities alter the landscape, the erosion process can be greatly accelerated. Each year, our state is exposed to erosion. The sediment from erosion accumulates in lakes, watercourses, and storms drains. This can hurt aquatic life and cause increased turbidity. Sediment can also decrease water storage and increase the potential for floods.
This course, details rules, regulations, and prevention of erosion and sediment during daily maintenance duties. For an in-depth look at drainage, please be sure to take our drainage class!

Registration Fee
The registration fee for this workshop is $50 per person for employees of government agencies and $75 per person for non-government agencies. Fee includes any class handouts and lunch. In order to receive credit for this class, attendees must stay until the end when it is dismissed by the instructor and class certificates are awarded.
