Considering the practice of making principled choices between right and wrong, this course will help teach you how to make better decisions by asking the questions: 'Who needs to be concerned with ethics?', 'What motivates people?', 'What areas do we need to be aware of?', 'What kind of trouble can we get into?', and 'Who else is governed by ethics?'.

Instructors

Macheledt, Jean

JEAN MACHELEDT has worked as in-house corporate counsel for a couple of Colorado-based entities with international operations. Her law firm helps clients build intellectual property portfolios (she is a U.S. Reg. Patent Attorney), along with navigating solutions to general commercial issues and resolving disputes. Jean moved to Colorado a few decades ago after engineering school, to work for Hewlett-Packard Company in their process engineering group. These past several years, she has also been active in teaching science, math, social studies/civics, and music in Northern Colorado schools. As an instructor in FRCC's Business Dept, Jean enjoys bringing the many facets of "business law" to life for college students!
