Program Topics:

This course is offered every Fall, alternating West Slope and Front Range locations.

  • Examine the role of the supervisor
  • Learn about leadership skills and how to apply them
  • Explore options for handling issues new supervisors encounter
  • Learn the basics of interviewing, performance management, and disciplinary action
  • Assess own level of ability in competencies required of a supervisor and develop a strategy

Supervisory Skills and Development

This is a course in the Supervisory Skills and Development course track.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for this workshop is $75 per person for employees of government agencies and $100 per person for non-government agencies. Fee includes class handout and lunch. Invoices will be sent upon receipt of registration form. Invoices can be paid by cash, check, money order, or credit card.

Cancellation Policy

Please be considerate of those on the waiting list, cancel early if necessary. A full refund will be made if you cancel no later than 3 business days prior to the training day; otherwise, you will forfeit the registration fee.

Special Notes

In order to receive credit for this class, attendees must stay until the end when it is dismissed by the instructor and class certificates are awarded.


Stewart, Kathy

Kathy Stewart, Senior Consultant with Lundy Professional Development Resources, Inc., has 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including positions as Area Vice President of Adelphia Communications, with operations responsibilities for a six-state area and 405 employees; Area Director of AT&T; and Area General Manager of Northern Colorado for TCI Communications.  As a successful executive, Kathy was recognized for her strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, leadership development, team development, and as an effective and successful visionary planner.

Kathy has also held many leadership positions on boards, advisory committees and industry associations.  She is a qualified MBTI trainer, and has provided training, coaching and consulting to Front Range Community College, Right Management, WYDOT, Colorado LTAP, Colorado Municipal Clerks Association; Loveland Chamber of Commerce, and numerous cities and counties in Colorado. 

Kathy is a Colorado native, having grown up on a farm west of Ault, Colorado. She received her BA in Communications and an MA in Organizational Behavior from the University of Colorado.
