This 3-hour course is supported by the Department of Labor, and provides training to protect workers against falls especially from bridge work. Falls are the second-leading cause of death in the transportation construction industry, behind runovers and backovers.
This is a course in the Roads Scholar II course track.
This class is being offered for free due to a grant from the American Road and Transportation Builders Association.

In order to receive credit for this class, attendees must stay until the end when it is dismissed by the instructor and class certificates are awarded.
Bruce Drewes has worked in transportation industry for over thirty years, with the last twelve as an instructor and manager of the Idaho LTAP Center. Bruce has a strong background in Maintenance and Construction when dealing with traffic control, employee and roadway safety, winter operations, and gravel roads. Bruce has provided his knowledge and support to a number of national and local agencies, national associations and organizations. He is currently an instructor for ARTBA as a certified OSHA instructor for 10-hour Construction and OSHA 7600 Disaster Site Workers Outreach courses.
