The Colorado "You Show Us" Local Innovation Contest is a profitable way to share local government agency innovative solutions to common problems. Colorado's 2018 state winning project was El Paso County's Portable Bridge Safety Platform. Their project was submitted to the LTAP North Central Regional YSU Contest and competed against entries from MT, WY, ND, SD, KS, MO, IA and NE. At the Local Road Advisor's Conference in Rapid City, SD, Project Developer, Zach Knight, and Mark Musick were in attendance as El Paso County's project was announced as the Regional winner as well. Their project has now been submitted to compete in FHWA's National "Build a Better Mousetrap" competition. Those winners will be announced at the National LTAP Conference in August.
