RS II FA: Technical Skills  -  In the Traffic Engineering Fundamentals 3-Part Webinar Series is a high-level overview of the real basic concepts of traffic engineering and is thus ideal for people that are just starting to work in the field, or for people that maybe work in related fields that want to learn the lingo of traffic engineering.  The course will cover the following topics:

  • Traffic data and traffic studies – What kind of data do you need to collect and what do you do with it once you have it?
  • Traffic design considerations for various types of roadways – Why do our roadways and intersections look the way they do and what are some of the options that are out there?
  • Traffic operational considerations – Once you have designed it and built it, how do you make it all work well?
